Jan Bakker

Seafood Connection
Jan started working for Seafood Connection 10 years ago after finishing a marketing degree in the Netherlands. During the years he enjoyed different positions in sales and purchase. Today he is Strategic Manager Industry; meaning that he is managing the processes of Industry purchases, sales and logistics.

Sigurður Steinn Einarsson

Alda Seafood
Sigurður Steinn Einarsson is the COO at Alda Seafood in the Netherlands and has been since 2020. Prior to joining Alda he worked in the Icelandic fishing industry. Alda is a vertically integrated company that operates a fleet of fishing vessels, processing facilities, and sales offices in Europe and North America. The most significant amount of all fish caught by Alda‘s vessels are frozen at sea. The vessels mainly fish cod, haddock, saithe, redfish, Greenland halibut, and shrimp. Sigurdur is responsible for Alda‘s European fishing operations and he holds a BS degree in Fisheries Science from the University of Akureyri in Iceland.

Taylor Falk

Trident Seafoods
Taylor joined Trident Seafoods in 2022 and has since established herself as a key contributor. Initially supporting the U.S. sales organization with her robust market research expertise, she adeptly aligned client needs with Trident’s product offerings. Over the last two years, she has pivoted to spearhead the company’s insights and analytics strategy, broadening its impact beyond sales. She currently leads the data team for the Groundfish Forum’s supply and utilization presentation.

Agnes Guðmundsdóttir

Icelandic
Agnes Guðmundsdóttir is the Managing Director of Icelandic Japan, where she has focused on promoting Icelandic seafood across Asia and strengthening international market connections. She is dedicated to product development and innovation, driving sustainable growth and value creation in the industry. Agnes has served on the board of Iceland Responsible Fisheries for seven years, supporting science-based management and transparency. She is also the former Chair of the Women in Seafood Association, where she worked to advance diversity and build stronger networks for women in the global seafood sector.

Orri Gústafsson

Ice Fresh Seafood & Seagold UK
Orri Gústafsson is the Managing Director of Seagold, which oversees the UK operations for Ice Fresh and Alda Seafood. Orri has been working for Ice Fresh Seafood and its subsidiaries since 2013. Moving to the UK in 2023 prior to that he was based in the US working in sales and operations with partner companies in Boston. He holds a BS degree in Fisheries Science from the University of Akureyri in Iceland and an MBA in International business from Southern New Hampshire University. Ice Fresh Seafood is the sales and Marketing arm of Samherji HF in Iceland.

Juanma Jimenez

Iberconsa
Juanma joined Iberconsa, the world leader in frozen Argentinean red shrimp and frozen hake, in 2020 when the company was acquired by Platinum Equity after 12 years of international experience at Deloitte in auditing and consulting. At Iberconsa Juanma leads the financial reporting, controlling and investor relations functions overseeing all financial and business analysis at the company, including M&A opportunities. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the Politechnical University of Valencia, as Master in Auditing from the University of Alcala de Henares, and Executive Master in Seafood Management from the Universidad Internacional de la Empresa (Intercontinental University of Business) and an Advance Course on Investor Relations by BME (Bolsas y Mercados Españoles).

Thomas O’Connell

F.W. Bryce
Thomas O’Connell has been with F.W. Bryce Inc. since April 2011. F.W. Bryce’s main business model is supplying superior unprepared seafood to food service and retail. Thomas started his career at F.W. Bryce as a Business Analyst and has progressed to his current role as Purchasing Manager.  His primary species of focus are Cod, Haddock, Pollock, Flounder and Salmon.

Pedro Perez

Congalsa
Pedro Perez joined Congalsa almost eight years ago, one of the largest Spanish companies in the manufacture of pre cooked frozen seafood products & Seafood mixes. Pedro started early 2017 to manage non-fish raw materials (packaging, electricity, flour, breadcrumbs, sunflower oil and others) and four years ago he began to deal with some of Congalsa’s main raw materials (clams, shrimps, mussels). Finally, in October 2022,  Pedro was promoted to his current position of Purchasing Manager, leading a group of three purchase specialists where seafood is key. The company sources more than 25,000 Mtn of raw materials (more than 20% is White fish) in more than 15 countries

Siraj Rajie

Sea Harvest
Siraj Rajie is a dedicated professional with a decade-long tenure at Sea Harvest, one of the largest fishing and Hake producing companies in Southern Africa. His journey at Sea Harvest has encompassed vital roles in Retail, Marketing, and Exports, ultimately leading him to his current position as International Sales Manager, where he assists & manages clients and markets worldwide.

With a strong educational foundation, Siraj earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Post Grad Diploma in Marketing Management from the University of Cape Town. He further expanded his knowledge through the Management Programmes at the University of Stellenbosch Business School.

Thea Løvik Roaldsnes

Espersen
Thea Løvik Roaldsnes joined Espersen in 2018 and has since gained experience across several departments, including Procurement, Marketing & Innovation, and Sales. This has given her a broad understanding of Espersen’s value chain and close cooperation with both retail and foodservice partners. She has worked extensively with international quick service restaurant chains and supported projects that connect innovation with commercial growth. Over time, she has built strong customer relationships and developed a deep knowledge of market dynamics. Today, she is responsible for business development in the Nordic and Central Eastern European markets.
